Princess vs. First Lady

Who will take the championship belt, minions?

French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Prince Daniel of Sweden, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden pose in courtyard of the Elysee Palace after a meeting in Paris, France.

Oh dear. This is going to be a tough one to call. On the left, you have a former model wearing a bland pantsuit that is swallowing her legs. On the right, you have a lifelong princess dressed like a pilgrim secretary. We're gonna need to break this one down into categories.

The Fit: As we said, Carla's pants are a bit voluminous but the rest of it fits her well. Victoria's dress is pulling all over the place. Carla takes this one.

The Color: Non-existent in both cases. It's a draw.

The Detailing: Gotta say, Victoria's ponytail is kind of cute. Then again, Carla's got model hair and that's tough to beat. Can't compare the purses since the First Lady doesn't have one. It's almost unfair to compare the jewelry since generally speaking, royalty has a leg up on that area compared to just about everyone. Victoria has the better jewels. As for shoes, they're both wearing classic pumps that match their outfits. Again, it's a draw.

Overall Style: For us, there's no question on this one: Carla takes it. That suit is way more stylish and youthful than Victoria's dress, which, quite frankly, is a dress for a much older woman. We realize she's a princess and there are rules, but she's only 33 years old. Look at her body! That is one slammin' princess bod. She can afford to step it up a little on the style front. She can at least step out in something that doesn't look home sewn.

Winner: First Lady. Sometimes even a princess can't take on a model.

And what do the minions say?
