William Rast for Target

Jean genies.

Darlings, let's go jeans shopping! Everyone loves to try on jeans in a dressing room, right? Target has something they want to say first:

"Target is partnering with William Rast, the premium denim and fashion brand co-founded by Trace Ayala and Justin Timberlake, to introduce an affordable, limited-edition collection for men and women. Available only at Target, the William Rast for Target collection brings edge to premium denim, leather jackets and outerwear. Ranging in price from $16.99 to $199.99, the collection will be available only from Dec. 19, 2010 through Jan. 22, 2011 at most Target stores and on Target.com.

The William Rast for Target collection delivers quality, design and comfort in denim. Styles from the exclusive line include skinny, bootcut and straight-leg, all with premium fit, wash and detailing. In addition, the collection features utilitarian and plaid woven shirts, along with motorcycle jackets, leggings and skirts. The men’s collection embodies a rugged style, while the women’s collection blends tomboy fashion with feminine tailoring."

Target's in-house lines don't normally sell at the high end of that range, do they? We don't think we've ever seen a $200 article of clothing in Target. The good news is, Darren Criss is here to show us all the way:

Darren Criss attends the launch of Target's & William Rast's Limited Edition Collection
shopping event at Factory Place in Los Angeles, California.

It's amazing how, as soon as you get on that fame train, you're obligated to show up at clothing launch parties like this. Still, he looks cute in the getup, even if he was probably ordered to wear it. Let's check out the rest, shall we?

Wearable and pairable, which is exactly what you should expect from a Target line. But now we're curious which pieces are $200. The (p?)leather jackets, most likely. Seeing as how we're both in possession of penises, we're partial to the men's pieces, which look like decent wardrobe standards for the 20 to 40-year-old manboy. Some of the ladies' stuff is cute too, but it doesn't really jump off the screen at us. Ladies? Your thoughts?
